A HOT MEAL, ACTIVITIES, AND A PLACE TO ENJOY THE COMMUNITY
Our Community Cafe’s not only serve hot and nutritious meals, but they also serve as a place to spend time with friends and family. We offer socialization, physical activities, arts & crafts, educational programs, health screening and musical guests to help keep our seniors feeling youthful. Our cafe’s offer activities to stimulate minds, encourage activity, and inspire a sense of community.
Each weekday, a different hot lunch is served. All menus are approved by a qualified nutritionist and are planned to provide at least one-third of the recommended daily dietary allowances set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Reservations are required.
The Community Café is available to Ocean County residents who are:
- 60 years of age or older
- limited transportation to and from the sites
- ability to take care of self at sites
Each participant has the opportunity to make a voluntary $2 donation toward the cost of the meal. There is no required payment.
